I fell off the blogging bandwagon soon after I settled into my nest here in the Pacific Northwest. Spring is here, and it's time for this little bird to shake the dust off my creative wings.I've been inspired by the wonderful blogging of my friend Patrick, who has lived abroad as a teacher for the past few years - Musings on Life is well worth following! And much credit is due to my all-time favorite traveling companion and soul mate of a best friend, Colleen, who last October "Shanghai'ed" herself with a one-way ticket and no plan. You can read all about it (and drool over the food she's been eating) at Colleen Gets Lost.

So here's the scoop. For the most part, life in the Pacific Northwest has been good to this mountain girl. I have a roof over my head that some folks describe as "a whole lot like Judy Branch, except it's in the city." Somehow I've managed to land a steady job doing work I passionately believe in. My co-workers are people I love and admire. My life is filled with music, great friends and unbelievably amazing landscapes. And Bella - the best dog on the planet - is by my side nearly every second of my life. I live modestly, but my life is so rich in all the ways that count.
